Season Just Started No Need to Panic

OK so we are 0-6 and not hitting well and things seem bleak BUT I have to think on the positive side and the things that are also happening that are not the RAYS. Boston, favored to win the AL East is also 0-6 if you think we are shocked they must be in a coma. We were at least expected to be where we are now. SO if we go purely on expectations then we are doing exactly what was expected. ALSO the other good thing is that there is only UP from here. The team will untie and the RAYS will be back in contention by the end of the season. We are only 6 games off a .500 season and thats not a bad place to be. IF we lose 6 in a row later in the season will this same amount of criticism come out then too. SO sit back, wait on the first win and then we will see the RAYS shoot back up into the standings.

Tampa Bay Rays - What would I do different at this point

First I would get rid of all media for the first two weeks of the season! Screw all of you asking your stupid questions. "Whats going on?", "Why isn't so and so hitting?" WELL what the hell do you want anyone to say. I mean really do you expect them to give you an answer that is anything but positive. DO you think they're going to say "F it we give up!" SO get out of their face and STFU for a week or two. You don't have a story other than wallowing in the current situation your as bad as a Yankee or Boston fan. THAT is what I would do different.
Second, with all that BS media pressure out of their face they would see that I am taking the pressure off them and the expectation and every other stress factor other than their own performance efforts. THEN maybe we would see the Rays that have no expectation like 08' or like 10'.

And to all you other "last year" bandwagon riders. GET OFF NOW and JUMP ON ANOTHER TEAM thats winning. Thats all OH and go buy my Tickets in right field front row on STUBHUB for $100 Yankee and Boston fan.

Bloggers are stupid and Booing ?

First off I have to say the Forbes.com blogger who said that the Tampa Bay Rays would be contracted and removed from the league after 2014 is full of crap. I think its funny that we can say whatever we want on our blogs and some people believe that their basis of saying things is their own self conceit. Well it is now known that this guy was paid at least in part by the YES network. SO we find out now he is just a pissed off Yankme fan. HA HA the last laugh is on you DUMMY. The comissioner of baseball Bud Selig said its not true and who should know better. Next time get your facts straight. Use some real sources other than your delusional NY loving world. Oh and thanks for the profit sharing we'll make sure we continue to buy players to kick your ass.
SECOND is Booing Manny Ramirez, Really? REALLY? 4 games into the season and some Rays Fans think it is time to Boo Manny. Come on. REALLY!  I for one am not a fan of booing my team, the players on my team or needing to add to the players frustration by making statements like that. SO sit down, Shut up and watch the games ONCE there is reason to boo take it out on the other team. Hell we're 4 Games out of 500 and tied with Boston....wake up it's early in the season and Soriano is working his Sleeper Cell magic in NY so be thankful. GO RAYS!

New Astro Turf -- Hope the center field Logo is BRIGHT and impressive

I am truly glad that we are finally getting new astro-turf. The Rays have needed it for a while now and it was rather worn out looking. I can't say how the field felt under foot but I can say it looked like downtrodden carpet from anyplace in the Trop. I can imagine that there will be some changes in the physics of the balls when they hit it and in how the players adjust to those odd bounces or hops. But I believe it is a well deserved upgrade from what has been played on in the past.
  From a Fans perspective since I am not involved in anything on the field I can only hope for that new shiny aspect of having a Bright Center field logo and a uniform color grass when viewed from TV or in person.
  Way to go Rays! Hope this is a sign of the good things to come this season and hopefully we can take advantage of the changes in physics that it produces.

Rocco Baldelli Retiring

It was nice to see Rocco come back last season and I appreciated his dedication and drive. I think he will do great as a Special Baseball Advisor to the Rays and wish him the best of Luck. Thanks Rocco we all loved what you did for the Rays.

The Tampa Bay Rays - A team on a budget and making the most of it!

I don't intend to make this a public soapbox or do I intend to get down on the Rays in this blog, However I do intend to post my opinion on Games, Rumors, Fans and any other thing that is Rays Related. I also invite anyone to make comments and add to this BLOG as I hope it becomes a VOICE for the Typical Rays Fan and not just a one person opinion. Also I am not sponsored by anyone nor do I claim to be an official Site that adheres to fairness and political correctness that has caused so much pussification of America Today.

Who am I? I am a Season Ticket Holder and I make it to alot of Games. 81, I wish but I have the tickets to go if I can.

Who are my Teams? The Rays, The Bolts, The Bucs are the big three pros and then any other team that calls the Tampa Area Home. The Storm, The Rowdies, The Breeze. etc...

What makes my opinion count? Freedom of Speech! I'm not a former pro, or a newspaper writer or related to any of the players just a regular FAN with a regular Opinion. We need more people with just a regular guy point of view on things.

So for this year come back and see my rants, my hoorays, and my general content or discontent with our Rays. Who knows maybe we will be competitive and make it to the post season. I definetly am one that will be wishing and hoping for that.
